wed heard that it was formerly a house of ill repute.
and that it had ghosts.
and that bad things had happened there.
but it had been boarded up for decades.
and so it sits to decay, in an open field in southern wisconsin.
look at those rotting lace curtains in the windows.
the ivy covered sills.
it really was impossible to resist.
FAVORITE DETAIL:
the masonry detailing at its foundation.
(who does this? its local rock, but the detail they went to for a simple farmhouse is insane. the majority in this area are large stones for a hefty base, these are no larger than baseballs.)
READ: i am not condoning breaking and entering.
so i wont go into further detail about said excursion.
but i will say its a favorite past time to find these lost souls and sniff around their foundations, camera in tow.
