the most beautiful place!

we stumbled across it last year passing through brussels.

the make biscuits!
lovely ones.
teeny, decorative, artisan biscuits (essentially, cookies)
many made from the antique molds.
the walls of this adorable boutique were layered in the wooden, hand-carved molds.

but that not why we popped in.
it was the incredibly charming century-old shop is called MAISON DANDOY

in 1829, jean-baptiste dandoy, a young baker craftsman whose brother was the buromaster of uccle, set up the biscuit firm which still carries his name. originally settle in rue marche-aux-herbes in the heart of old brussles, it moved to rue au beurre (butter street)
