Our little white cabin was once part of the ‘Log Cabin Camp’ hotel near my hometown 90 years ago. We found her nearly collapsed, strapped her to a flatbed & hauled her 287 miles north to camp… And while restoring her, we started peeling back the layers of what had happened inside it for all those years. So many unreal things that one day Hearst called asking to publish a book about it. “A Very Modest Cottage” hit shelves a year later.
