PROOF OF THE KINDNESS OF STRANGERS. We got a letter in the mail - a woman explained that she had a very sentimental gift that "belonged" at camp. She asked to personally deliver it, driving in from the east coast. As a teen in the 60s she has been a synchronized swimmer- her favorite team performance incorporated each girl forming a big American flag (12 plank sections coming together). She had saved these hand made pieces her whole life as a reminder of her youth - and hoped that we would display it so others could enjoy it, too. // Since we hung it on a cabin, countless wedding couples and kids young & old have used it as a backdrop for photos of their visits here. // We are honored to display it (if you look on the backs, the girls names and order numbers are still scrawled there) : @justemscraps
