Against all odds- all of the floors in the bunk house are still the original 1920’s “Congoleum.” An extinct cheap flooring solution for folks who couldn’t afford carpeting. Every room has a different crazy silkscreened pattern. For years I tried to hide it with area rugs because it didn’t match anything, but now I love all its imperfections. And that it matches nothing // It’s taken a long time to appreciate that things get better with age… & i it more that it was a symbol of a humble class – making the best with what they had to still make things pretty. // : @brittanykcox
