At Camp in 1969:Herb & Anna on the beach (Davids parents) // Back then, “the dock” was just a couple of shipping palettes. “swim gear” were repurposed car inner-tubes. And the swim zone bouys where made out of empty milk jugs. Life was simple and they could not have been happier. // His family was one of many who rented a single sleeping room at camp for the summer. (when it was owned by the Latvian Marian Fathers). Families needed very little, and had lots of fun keeping camp running as a true community. They had their priorities straight and this essence is what we try to keep.
