Lake Wandawega doesnt even rate. Shes one of the tinier lakes on Wisconsin standards. Shes not very deep- (and tends to have more weeds than some would like). Shes not manicured, and only has one little boat launch for loading in.She isnt favored by the speed boats or jet skis. Folks dont choose her to build their mansions around. Somehow this combination of sleepy & small has resulted in an abundance of fish. Some nice canoeing. Good swimming. Ice fisherman flock here in the cold months. And that lack of motor buzz means you can still hear kids laugh & a screen door slam from the other side of the lake. The same way its been since camp was built back in the 20s. Our lake neighbors shared these old photos & it reminded us that being small doesnt always have to mean that you have nothing to offer or see.
