FAMILY HEIRLOOMS

everyone forgets about things like this. they get locked away, forgotten, or more often than not- tossed out altogether. so when i find family heirloom recipes books, i try to save them at all costs. while cleaning out my late grandmother’s house, we found a treasure trove of old family photos, recipes, and journals like these.  always with portable scanner on hand, i got some great archival copies. also pictured are my aunt and uncle. (love these photos, they are so handsome!)

RESURRECTING THE LOST ART OF THE TRAVEL JOURNAL

IT CANT BE STOPPED.

….SUITCASES, ARROWS, DECANTERS, TRAVEL TRUNK DECALS, WOOL BLANKETS.. you can never have too many collections. PANPHOBIA: Fear of antiques. affects over 250,000 people in America alone. i cant figure out if folks are freaked out by the thought that the original owners are now all dead,or the thought that there may be some residual ghost karma lingering in the objects… anyway, folks that suffer from this should not come in here.everything has a story, and yes, all of the original owners of these lovely things are nowlong gone.
