We encourage adventuring of all kinds. We’d love for you to take some time exploring the rest our locale has to offer. Here’s a few of our curated experiences you can schedule for your group at places close to Wandawega. (in both proximity and heart). All excursion programming needs to be scheduled with the outside vendors.


Trout Fishing at Rushing Waters
Wisconsin’s Largest rainbow trout farm is located within the nearby Kettle Moraine State Forest, and provides a pristine yet easily accessible setting. Go behind the scenes with hands-on activities and a look at the action that makes Rushing Waters the country’s leading producer of quality Rainbow Trout.
“Fishing on the Farm” includes: Instruction, Poles & Equipment, Bait, Cleaning, Icing. The 80-acre farm has crystal clear ponds and raceways full of rainbow trout. Don’t want to bring your catch home? Let them cook it up for you on the spot: Dining in the Rushing Waters tasting room is an epicurean experience from farm to fork. Their Chef sources ingredients from their fishery as well as the region’s best local farms, in a celebration of seasonal artisan offerings.

Mead Making & Bee Keeping at The Hive Taproom
TASTING WITH THE BREWER. Come learn why this gluten-free session honey mead is becoming more popular. Learn about the process and see where the mead is brewed (pending timing – brewery renovation planned to begin winter of 2020). You’ll be able to taste up to 12 of The Hive’s session meads on tap plus meads in process.
PICNIC WITH THE BEES (and their keeper). Enjoy a charcuterie board and The Hive’s session meads outside (weather pending) next to the beehives and learn about beekeeping life and how bees are integral to our ecosystem and our mead making process.

Painting Workshop at Board and Brush
Private wood sign workshops allow you and your group to flex your maker muscles. It’s an easy way to be creative and go home with a sign perfectly suited to your style.

Farm Chores Adventure at FarmWise
FarmWise offers hands-on, will-based learning. In their programs, small groups are introduced to the values, lifestyle and work ethic of the farm, and learn to actively engage with the world around them. FarmWise was founded on the belief that a certain grounding “earth-intelligence” is fostered in our children (and us!) by collaborating with nature as is necessary on a farm. In this excursion, you get to help with the morning farm chores: milking cows, collecting eggs, restocking water and food.

Aeppeltreow Distillery
Aeppeltreow Distillery makes delicious alcoholic beverages ranging from fruit ciders to grain based spirits. Wooden Boat Ride at Lake Geneva Boat Tour
Take a ride on the Lorelei. She’s a 41′ cabin cruiser built in Holland in 1954 and is perfect for an intimate cruise for two, shuttle to your favorite restaurant, or a casual day-on-the-lake for up to 14 passengers. Her teakwood decks and mahogany trim offer elegance while her sleek hull gives you and your guests a terrific ride.
