STRANGE CLOSETS + FREE COPY CONTEST

my dear friend guyer sent me an email that one of our fav blogs (strangeclosets.com)posted a fab story about him (his job, tabletop design) check it out here: http://www.strangeclosets.com A Very Modest Cottage is the story of author Tereasa Surratt’s efforts to rescue, move and rehab a tiny 20’s-era vacation cottage, and it makes me smile every time I spend some time with it. DIY books can feel so by-the-numbers, but this one, published by Country Living, feels like a genuine labor of love. The book is steeped in nostalgia; it’s part of the reason Surratt feels compelled to intervene…

BEACH BRIGHTS BOOK REVIEW

A Very Modest Cottageby Tereasa SurrattHearst Books / Sterling PublishingApril 2010ISBN: 978-1-58816-797-2 averymodestcottage My Review: I read this little book, cover-to-cover. The story of a family’s precious heritage taking on new life, a scrapbook of vintage photos and family snapshots and a home improvement manual rolled into one, A Very Modest Cottage…

WHITNEY ENGLISH IS OUR NEW BFF…

“A Very Modest Cottage…Along with my obsession with interiors, comes a love of house, four walls of any kind, that one could call their own. My parents taught me the value of old things, the art of restoration, and the satisfaction that comes from exerting a little bit of elbow grease. When I saw the preview of A Very Modest Cottage, set to be released sometime this month, I’ll confess I got a little teary-eyed.” 1 COMMENTS: kellie said…So precious and priceless.
