thrifting for useful items

I love going thrifting and rummaging through antique stores to find one of a kind items. But these places are also good for finding items that can be used in your everyday life. It’s not only, usually designed better, but it is also green, because you are using things that have been made and forgotten.I went on a journey this past weekend to collect some special finds that could be used around Camp Wandawega and this is what I found. kindling quarterly

There is a new favorite publication and the first issue has just come out! Kindling Quarterly is about fathers who work in the creative field. What a sweet and unique subject for a beautiful magazine. Perhaps what draws me most to this project, is how sincere and simple it is. Clean lines, straight to the point and beautifully curated, I would definitely recommend this one to families, new dads, old dads, almost dads and any person interested in the life of a father. + Love that logo type!

scofflaw

I am so happy that Scofflaw came to town. It is quickly becoming one of the best cozy gems in the city. The atmosphere is dark, warm and lodge-like with a twist of modern through the accents of wallpaper and lighting. Scofflaw has great food and great drinks. I love how simple and straight forward the menu is. There are only a handful of items, but what I have tried has been delicious! The drinks, for you adults, are outstanding as well and they even make their own Gin, called Old Tom Gin, that is in a beautifully designed bottle….
