We’ve always wanted one of these. (it only took us a decade to make it happen). Sneak peak of the newest little project we’ve been obsessing over: Every scout camp in America for the past century has a craft cabin… A right of passage for girls and boys, you would enter camp a novice, and leave an expert basket-making-loom-weaving-pottery-painting-jewelry-crafting scout ninja. So after many months of researching the most common crafts made at summer camps since 1920(The sign is from cover of a 1940s book of crafts) We started sourcing deadstock craft kits, custom made craft kits, and impossible-to-find craft…

Welcome Bailee Rae. The newest member of the Wandawega family, and furriest mascot (she lives with our camp counselor/next door neighbor). She’s been enjoying her first tour of camp. Bailee takes over. She licks everything and everyone, trips over her paws like it’s her job and is blissfully happy to follow you wherever you go.
Mandy from The Glossary and Nikki from Feminest teamed up for a second year to bring creative women a weekend away outdoors! This weekend was dedicated to creative women entrepreneurs who were looking to learn new skills, meet likeminded people, practice self-care, network for future collaborations, or get away for a weekend. It was filled with inspiring workshops, relationships, eating, swimming, fire building, and creating. A deep breath – a disconnection from every day life and a connection to nature, female entrepreneurship, and your creative mind.
Had a good time at SOHO house recently talking with some folks who come from ‘both sides’ of our creative worlds: Advertising. and those who create the creative culture. With one foot planted firmly in both worlds, it was a lively convo.
The Fishing Shack. Just the basics: no running water, electric, just a 100sq ft tribute to the long-loved tradition of Wisconsin Ice Shanties (this one smaller than many) There’s an access hole in the middle of the floor for dropping a line. (We found it abandoned a wrecked overgrown shell deep in the brush- now a 2nd life on its little perch) 📷: @bobcoscarelli
CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE “For catching up with good friends, nothing beats a rustic and relaxed setting. Go for the kind of grown-up hideout where you can kick back and just chill, no commitments or itinerary necessary. For Philp and his pals Olivia and Ford [?], a wooded sleepaway-camp-style retreat just over the border in Wisconsin, within easy driving distance of the city, was the ticket—both rugged and civilized, with tricked-out treehouse lodgings for a club-like feel. They hiked, they rowed, they even let some arrows fly” full film here
